Turn Ordinary Pumpkins into White Haute Designs

I am sure you have seen a lot of design magazines using white pumpkins instead of the traditional orange. We love how they look, but if you didn't buy them right away, they are probably gone. They can also be a little pricey if you are planning on using a fair amount of them.

Don't worry! We have a great solution to convert ordinary pumpkins into White Haute decor items to use on your Thanksgiving table or around the house for the holiday.

1. Just take any old pumpkin. You might still have one sitting on your front porch.

2. Get a can of Heritage White Rustoleum Ultra Cover (you can use a different brand, but this one is generally one coat and done)

3. Spray the bottom of the pumpkin. I prop it up with the lid and wait for it to dry. This helps to make sure you don't rub off any of the other paint

4. Spray the rest of the pumpkin. If you want to leave the stem in its natural state, just cover it with painter's tape. I like to paint it. I think it gives it a little bit more a designed look

5. Wait for it to dry, and let it adorn your table. We surrounded our with some cool finials and class ornaments that look a bit like acorns.

Looking for some other great Thanksgiving ideas? We loaded our Pinterest Board with them.

Enjoy!
