One of the things I find to be a challenge is when you live in a place where you don't really have room for a desk. I don' t like to have a desk in the living room or my bedroom. It is something that gets a bit messy, so I always want to keep it out of view.
The big advantage of having a small desk is that you can squeeze it into a lot of places. It can serve a multitude of purposes including an entry table, a night stand or a telephone stand (or today it would be more like where you throw you cell phones).
Adorned with baskets or some urban chic trays, it can be the organizational hub area in any home or apartment.
This little gem was an institutional beige - a color they only seem to use in educational and prison furniture. The original wood was a honey color, that made it a bit hard to coordinate with other woods. A quick sanding, some dark stain and a coat of a funky teal made this tired old desk a fun addition to any room.
