Add Color with Sparkling Emerald!
Every year, Pantone introduces a "Color of the Year" selection. This color is determined by their color experts to be the most 'on-trend' hue. For 2013, Emerald Green was selected.
Emerald Green is such a bright color, it might scare off some people. However, there are so many great ways to use it as an accent color or integrate it into a palette that matches your style. Pantone created 3 palettes for coordinate with Emerald.
1 - Sophisticated: With color shades and earth tones, the Sophisticated palette has hues that can really bring a new twist to a upscale and appointed room.
2 - Energizing: Earmarked with bright pops of color. The Energizing palette is bright and playful and will definitely wake up a room (view palette)
3 - Heritage: Mixed with more primary colors, the Heritage palette is a nod to time-honor design cues like wool blankets and plaids.
No matter how you would approach your design or integrate it, a dash of green will bring a smile to your face and bring a freshness to any room.
Enjoy!
